Voor de meeste fans was het lang wachten op spelersnieuws van Eaters maar vandaag kunnen we dan toch de eerste namen bekend maken en zullen de nummers 7 en 9 ook dit jaar op de Geleense shirts te zien zijn.

Met zijn 20 jaar begint Mitch aan zijn vierde seizoen bij Eaters. De aanvaller was afgelopen jaar goed voor 11 goals en 3 assists in 22 wedstrijden. De snelle aanvaller kijkt ernaar uit om jullie in september weer te zien in de Geleense hal, mits Covid-19 het toelaat natuurlijk. De afgelopen weken heeft hij al hard getraind met een grote groep spelers tijdens de zomertraining.

De 30-jarige Lars van Sloun zal aan zijn 16e jaar gaan beginnen in de hoofdmacht van Eaters. Met zijn 500+ wedstrijden zal hij een van de meest ervaren spelers in de BeNe League zijn. Lars speelt ook dit jaar weer met zijn vertrouwde nummer 9 en was afgelopen jaar goed voor 25 punten in 22 wedstrijden.

Beide spelers willen afgelopen seizoen snel vergeten maar wel leren van wat er allemaal misgegaan is, dit is ook samen met de groep besproken. Hieruit is dan ook het plan Eaters2.0 ontstaan om met de Geleense kern te spelen die er echt samen voor willen gaan aangevuld met jongens van buiten die echt een toegevoegde waarde zullen zijn.
